minor gripe, but i cant add the music or contacts tab using hhc. theres some error message the first time i start hhc that says theres no default tab set or something like that, happened with both the alltel and jds rom

JDs ROM is just a modified version of the Alltel ROM, and the Alltel ROM seems to have a lot of updated HTC programs (thus the reason Cube Mods don't work).

Rev.A will not allow you to do this, because to the best of my knowledge all CDMA carries use 1x for voice and EVDO just for data. You can't have data and voice at the same time. Other than speed, what you should notice is that your calls won't go to voicemail all the time when you are actively on the internet like when you are using Rev.0. An incoming call will cause the data connection to drop to all the call much more reliably than previously. The other think is that obviously your download/upload speed will increase.

For other Telus users, I have successfully flashed to JD's 6.1 and gps is working beautifully. I got a gps lock indoors within 30 seconds with 7 satellites. Data and voice calls worked flawlessly from the first initial boot up.

Just a quick question, I've only been able to use a max of 1 satellite at a time even though I've seen up to 11. Is it possible for JD's rom to enable me to use more than 1 satellite at a time? I live in Vancouver BC if that piece of background knowledge will help answer my question.

Wow... looks like things blew up in the past 30 hrs. Glad to see more people are getting to take advantage of this update now!

Thanks to all who contributed! Even though I'm not effected by this directly, it could be me waiting on the other side of an upgrade in the future and it's good to see that we have some self made experts on here!

Cheers everyone.

Yeah even though I want gps really bad I am waiting for a true sprint release. I have my phone pretty decked out and I don't want to have to reload everything over and over again :(
