Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

I flashed your rom last night and everything works great up to this point. This was my first time flashing a rom. I had a few issues with the weather (I live in San Francisco, USA) but got that worked out with a little research.

I do have a question about remote desktop. Is there any info on how to use this? Do I need to install some software on my home pc? I understand all the connection info except the domain. Does this connect through my website? If so what do you recommend? I've been using logmein but it would be nice to be able to access my home computer without the middle man. Thanks for any help.

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

i am having the same lock up problems as others with this rom. it only happens while surfing the web. i have tested and repeated the lock up 100% of the time. it locks up using ie, opera mini , and opera mobile. it happens after about 15 mins of straight surfing. it seems to be random as it happens during text input, scrolling or even when i haven't touched the screen for 30 sec while reading. i love this rom but may have yo go back yo oem duebto these lock ups. i hope 6.14 fixes this!

there is no freeze when using ie (or including pieplus). however when using opera, it freeze. this is not a flaw of this rom but is the same of the base rom.

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

well i get zero lock ups using opera on the base rom. i haven't had a single lock up using the base rom after months of use. however since installing 613a it locks up every 15-30 mins and can be reproduced 100% of the time. also saying that it does not lock up using pie or pie plus is not true as many having the same problem will tell you. i have reinstalled and have ran only pie to reproduce the lock up. sure enough it locks up. keep in mind it only locks up after some steady browsing. after reading this thread and some others i find that this is common

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

has anyone inspected the state of the memory during long browsing sessions? I am wondering if maybee the drivers in 6.1 don't have memory leaks?? I am not all that knowledgable in this stuff though, just blowing text out my ***. From what I understand, there is no developement happening with anything to do with evdo or video due to an injunction, maybee that is the cause of out 6.1 woes, and the drivers were not developed before the os was leaked. Just ignore me if you know I am way off base

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

I see 614 is up for download. Unfortunalty my browser and ftp viewer shows the file for DL is 1.3mb big. When I download the .zip and open it, ofcourse i get the unexpected end of archive error and shows the file should be 76.2 megs big. DOes anyone know where else I might be able to download 614? am I the only one that is having this problem?

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

I am using the 6.13 ROM and I keep running into bluetooth issues. I have it connected to my car stereo for hands-free, and sometimes (randomly,) it disconnects from the unit. Phone is not frozen, and when I go into comm mannager, bluetooth says it's enabled. When I click on bluetooth options, and check 'mode,' the check boxes are blank for bluetooth enabled, as well as visibility...

Didn't happen on 6.12, or any other ROM for that matter...

Also, I keep having issues with PCM keyboard... I have less problems now that I use the new version, but if the phone crashes, I can't get the PCM keyboard to come up after a reset. I select PCM, then it jumps to the windows mobile crappy default keyboard. I have to uninstall PCM, reset, then re-install... I never had this problem with another ROM, so I wonder if it's somehow because it's a generic ROM, and not tailored to Sprint?

Overall, I'm pretty damn happy though... I don't expect my WM device to ever run smoothly... (I would have bought a regular phone instead...)
