Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

So I went back to OMJs v7 ROM after having a lock-up with v613 rom..
Was playing some more with OMJs .. Battery lasted whole day of course it all depends on usage.
But I miss the speed of v613a ROM.. so I'm just going to get some cabs from OMJs Rom d/l them and get some dnj04 stuff too go back to v613a and call it a day hopefully I dont have another lock-up and don't know why my battery started draining really fast after 8hrs of the ROM being installed.
Also i haven't been able to do that xml thing to have my weather correctly.
May I ask why your ROM faster than the others I've tried?
Whats the pagepool size on v613a ?
Any difference between Generic_v613a and Vogue_Sprint_v611 ?

'knock on the wood' - I've not ahd any problem on with 613a on Sprint vogue phone for last 4 days. Like it a lot.

Can someone explain what is 'UC' ? Do I need to do something... I don't see noChem 1% battery indicator anywhere - but only the thick stock Sprint battery bar.

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

hey, ghettofreeryder.

I added oemizer to your kitchen, and tried to add personall settings like owner info and e-mail accounts, but after I flashed the settings I added were not there. I ran buildos, and checked off my personall oem, and then buildit.bat, is there something I am missing, or do you already have similar settings worked into the basekit that prevent mine from working?

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

Has anyone else had a problem restoring their SMS with v12 and v13 roms? I have tried PIM Backup and Sprite. Restoring the contacts and call logs is fine. Restoring SMS was fine up to the v11 rom...for some reason with v12 and v13, my sms doesn't restore....the sent messages are shown, but the inbox doesn't show any messages.....any suggestions? Thanks!

This would be beyond usefull as I am always at work when my wife is having problems with her computer, if I could log on with my cell phone, that would simplify things a great deal
With Telus, you need to pay an extra 5$/m to get a fixed IP to make the remote desktop working. (not worth it for me) This is a carrier issue and is not related to the ROM. I got that info directly from a high level Telus/data tech while I was playing with a bran new unit (not flashed). It must be the same with other carriers. Also note that it is very cramped to access a PC screen from a PPC with a lot of panning.

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

You don't need a static IP for the phone in order to connect to your desktop.
You just need your house's IP (preferably use dynamic ip), your login name and password.
In XP you just right click on my computer, goto properties > remote > and check "allow users to connect remotely to this computer"

Then open up remote connect, type in your house's IP, login name and password and that's it.

If you're using a router this gets more difficult as you have to log in to your router and allow port forwarding of port 3636 I believe it is, but if you have a router, go online and search for any RD tutorial as I said before, and you can very easily get this set up. If someone's having trouble, PM me and I'll see if I can help, don't post any more about this in here

Can you post new kitchen along with the rom... pretty please!
