Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

You know i do like your build you got going here.. *except* on the HTC Home I only have canada as an option for weather... which kinda sucks cause i don't live in canada. I tried using home customizer to change it... it crashes on using custom db and then wont' change off of calgary in default. Any suggestions?

Edit: Got it working.. nevermind. I had to hard reset then reinstall home customizer.. and i didn't select a city to start off with.

However if you're open to suggestions... would you mind putting the Today Agenda View in the rom? I'm not at the point where i can build my own rom with my own stuff and one rom that i tried on the mogul for the few days i had it, had the Agenda view. I kinda liked it. Anyway I'd appreciate it.

Also what bugs exactly have you fixed? As with yours I'm having issues with it randomly freezing... requires the battery to be taken out and replace. Once during a call, another simply trying to open a program. Just wondering if that's been addressed.

Basically.. I like it.. its simple but effective in its additions. Additional stuff you can add if you want, and the quick menu thing many roms have I have an issue with (ended up removing it once i figured out how) as it completely defeats the purpose of it being a touch phone... i have to use the stylist to navigate the huge vast of menus if i don't want to make a mistake... and the appearance of the menus without an option to turn it off or have an alternative with it is very annoying to me.

So basically my gripes: The default HTC Home could use US cities in addition to CA, unless it takes up a lot of memory or something. And the freezing issue clearly is something that's a problem... although I might be an isolated case.. as it hasn't happened yet while typing or in sms messages or anything.

All in all.. a good ROM. Great if freezing issues have been taken care of.. or is my own fault from some program i installed.

Edit: Today agenda is *not* what i thought at all. I think I got confused. My mistake.

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

flashed to the v612 vista version last night (at 1am..lol), very nice rom. Ive tried many of the others and some just include stuff I dont use/need, with yours I added only a few cabs and I was set ! It seems to work well with how I use my touch.

The only time i have had my rom feeze, in my experiences, was when connecting via WDMC on a vista box. I am looking into this issue now. If any one else has had some freezing issues, please let me know. Send me a list of US cities, and I will add them. I would actully rather have you build your database(open the 00_weather....xml file in htchomer folder) and then save that to your sd card and have a sdautorun file made to copy it when you reflash the os

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

I too am experiencing random freezing.

As mentioned before, it's not limited to this rom. I've experienced it before. I don't think I had a freeze with the Bell OEM rom listed on this forum though.

As an example, tonight I experienced a freeze while ending a 20second call. Yesterday I had a freeze occur while browsing with Netfront. A few days prior I experienced a freeze just when bringing up PocketCM contacts. Each time the freeze's occured, there was nothing else running in memory aside from the application currently in use or being brought up. Each time required that the battery be taken out and put back in.

Oddly, I'm still unable to use VNC with this rom for some unknown reason.

There's also the timezone issue with SMS messages.

As I also mentioned before, and while not an issue to me as I don't use it, the Bell rom brings up the Sprint Music Store.

That's about it for me though...

Re: Ghettofreeryder v6 roms - Sprint, Telus, Bell

That's strange. I have yet to experience a freeze which required the battery to be pulled.

I have experienced the Vista sync issue that got fixed in V613. I'm wondering if it's just a registry fix or do I need to reflash the rom?
