badboy8813 02-07-2008 09:55 PM

is there anyway to set the page pool without having to reflash to this ROM?

anish3232 02-07-2008 10:37 PM

Does this include the Sprint Touch Keyboard it is a little different then the HTC Keyboard?

xtkxhom3r 02-07-2008 11:32 PM

alright its not REALLY FAST but it does feel snapyer i love the cube on this rom though so im going to keep it plus i feel like the BT works alot better now.... good work omj

reddog_220 02-08-2008 12:39 AM

Extra space on top of the today screen

I just loaded the rom and it works great, only problem is that i have a slight gap on top of the task bar in the today screen.

Wondering if that happens w/ all phones or i messed something up.

jrn6264 02-08-2008 03:29 AM

the gap at the top of the screen is the battery gauge, red at one end and green at the other. as your battery drains the bar will shrink leaving a black space at the right side of the screen. I have had this rom freeze on me twice requiring a soft reset, never had to do that with the stock rom. thanks for the pre release tho keep the updates coming.

nizmo007 02-08-2008 03:44 AM

It seems that the sprint ondemand application is missing and I can't seem to find a cab file for it for the touch. Do you guys know where I can find it? BTW, great ROM. Thanks alot!=D>

xtkxhom3r 02-08-2008 04:50 AM

wow this would have been a great rom IF it had the touch keypad or w/e the one that looks like a regular phone keypad... im going to have to go back to my other rom there is no way i can text with out it....

k000 02-08-2008 09:21 AM

I love this ROM - no complaints, yes Touch keyboard would be good, as long as we still have this full keyboard as an option :)

Calm down please. Peace.... Nirvana...

It's just a wish that we don't have to install - if OMJ could add it.

But I agree that just going back to other ROMS for that one reason is a bit naive.

OMJ 02-08-2008 11:14 AM

I'm in the process of updating my ROM, but need some time to test/tweak...for some of your questions....

-which Touch Keyboard are you guys referring to, it has a touch keyboard, I think I looks the same as when I was back on Stock, but I had switched to TouchPal right away.....TouchPal is all I use.

-yes, I believe the Pagepool can only be changed b4 flashing....and there is a possibility that this ROM has the stock pagepool of 12....I say that cuz, I know I set it to 24 on my 1st attempt, but re-made the ROM to excluded my personal OEMizer, and I think I may have forgot to re-run the pagepool proggy. The next will for sure have it!

-yeah, the top line/space is Vista Battery Gauge....I luv it!

-no, I didn't include on demand, I'll try to find an OEM

Thanks for the feedback!

evandena 02-08-2008 11:34 AM

I'll wait for your next update.
Thanks.

Great ROM fast and stable.:headbang:

Looking for next release, what about adding the DNS reg twik ?

anish3232 02-08-2008 12:41 PM

I am using no2chem's rom right now and it did not include the HTC keyboard. However when I found one online it was no the same as the one included with the original Sprint Rom. There is a big gap from where the keyboard ends and the word bank appears on top of the keyboard. I liked the sprint one a lot better since it was connected and cleaner.

deegimus 02-08-2008 01:33 PM

OMJ... you rock! Thank you for all your hard work. Clean, fast, stable. Awesome.

thanks....lol, yeah I've flashed about dozen times in the last couple days.....I'm almost ready to upload my lastest version, though I'm not 100% satisfied w/ it....it does correct many things.....I just need to flash & test again.

Pasukun 02-08-2008 03:18 PM

Does this ROM works with Verizon Titan as well?

xtkxhom3r 02-08-2008 03:29 PM

come on post the other one lol i want the touch keyboard :( and as for the ondeman cab just go to the file explorer click on menu and press on show all files then go to windows and there should be a file names ondemand 0006 or something like that just click on that and there you go now you have ondemand

Can't wait. Going to try Sprite Backup's ROM upgrade option with my next flash. Hope it works.

your in the wrong forum for titan roms. Roms are model specific so you will never be able to flash a touch rom onto a titan w/ out damage.....

good to hear you are updating your rom I can't wait to install it. Thanks for your hard work you rock:headbang:

Yep! version 2 is upload, see 1st post....don't have time to elaborate, but it's much better! Still no Touch Keyboard (the one ya'll want) sorry, still need a OEM to included it.

Look at the sticky entitled "Unlocker for customer roms on vogue" and follow the directions closely. It's easy, but read everthing so you know what you're doing.

So far everything is golden. Can't wait to get the Touch Keyboard in it (I'm not liking TouchPal).

how can i remove quick menu and the battery gauge?

hippity.hoppity 02-08-2008 11:04 PM

OMJ, how much free memory do you typically have with only AS running in the background and your pagepool set to 24MB?

If they are built into the ROM you can't.

I made a similiar build and I had 60+MB still available. I've havn't had any issues at 24MB. I notice that there were several Kaiser ROMs on xda built at 24MB pagepool so I thought I would give it a try on our touch. The Kaiser has a different chipset, but I think they're comparable.

If your not comfortable building your own rom I would be happy to cook something to your specs. Just let me know.

I modified the WM6.1/Sprint OEM ROM to have a 24MB pagepool and I have about 62MB free after a soft reset. It drops to the 50's after a while but the phone seems a LOT faster with a 24MB vs 12MB pagepool.

I'm still trying to figure out how you guys go through life without an x-button. How are you choosing to quit apps as oppose to just minimizing them? I like the dial pad,... a little different. Having your favorite 9 on the today screen as well as on a cube face is nice too! I think I also like the blue accents over the Sprint yellow on the icons. Nice work! Think I'll perch here for a day or two.

Is x-buttons compatible? I still have a cab left over from my time with the Mogul.

Personally i use AE Button plus and map the OK button to a long press of the middle button on the DPad.

I couldn't live without the OK button either ....lol

easy....for the battery gauge, just go to \windows\startup & delete the VistaHide Battery Guage.lnk, reboot & it's gone.

for quickmenu, start/quickmenu/exit...then say yes to the pop up message.

I use QuickMenu (included in my ROM) if you go into options, you can set it to close programs on short press & ok. It works very well!

smurs 02-09-2008 11:23 AM

OMJ, you are gonna think i'm nuts, but is there any way you could cook a merged version of the Sprint Vogue ROM and 6.1 so it's identical to the out-of-the-box HTC but with 6.1? I know there is a lot of bloat in the sprint rom, but I have come to like most of that bloat and the sprint customizations. Is it possible to just take the old 6.0 rom and merge it with 6.1? Or would you have to find and load in all the original sprint and HTC programs manually?
