ok now i'm just getting annoyed, the code is still there in the regedit, but when i hit a link still defaults to IE. any thoughts?

Try this one:

here we go report ver 1
flashed this morning and been working the heck out of it all day.

initial page pool was 12, i was unable to get much to run. upped pool to 24 and MOST of my issues went away.

pros
blue tooth works great
phone rings right on
ring tones (i just like the old style telephone ring)
still like the 3 keyboard choices
Quick Menu is my friend

issues
* app- BING states "not compatible with your device..."
* GPS wont take a fix
* app- audio manager- will not start player interface- to get a song to stop need to soft reset
* app- weather screen still don't work- i think we already knew that- thats why i have converted to weather bug.
* manilla- not too keen on the old interface- was kinda getting used to the newer one
* manilla- people tab does not work.
* data link terminates for no reason- although it may be due to weekend traffic
* after soft reset takes almost 3 minutes to get reloaded
* battery life sucks- not even 8 hours and i needed to recharge, typically i can get 12 hours
* the clock thing you been working on? could not get it to work.

potential modifications
* what do you think about smaller icons?
* going back to the other manilla (as in ver 16)
* i hear tell there is a NEW manilla?
overall at this point i give it 5 out of 10 but hey its still beta right?

Also when i get a call, the slider isn't too smooth either --- i drag it and it'll stop ringing, but won't pick up... i've got a few missed calls this way, using the green button works fine though

+ maybe have a option or totally remove the BEEP sound when you're dialing, i remember on vins rom, when you removed it, and put it to vibrate or something - it made dialing much faster and smoother..

Weather still only updates manually - and music tab don't work

Apart from all that, i havn't found any specific thing to care enough about to put it here... keep it up

++ Edit: Emails / Txt messages the unread icon won't go away once you've read them, unless you actually go into the messages / mail and go into that... it won't show unread after you go through it in manila

Thanks for your feedback with the beta testing!

I will try to address the major issues tomorrow. A couple of them like the GPS not working I'm not sure about though because I can't test. Torob can you confirm this?

Do you have a link to the new Manila?? Maybe most of the issues will be fixed after an update.

The music tab seems to work for me? Also I'm unsure what's wrong with the People tab too.

How did the HTC Taskmanger Quickmenu work?
Does the Over OS run smother then Version 16.0? From the testing that I could do it seemed great!

I made some major changes too it so I'm not too surprised about some of the issues...

I'm running 16.0 right now... GPS works fine for me running on bell..
the people tab/widget seems fine for me too... i have my contacts in there with their pictures... click on the bottom name dials them, clicking on pic goes to contact info as usual

I was also prompted to either us MS contacts or iContact, so when i click all people from the peoples tab, it goes to iContact (i chose it) and it works all great

I don't have a link to the new manilla.. if you do maybe i could check it out

The quickmenu is great... a screenshot of it and access to it would be cool because i kinda stumbled upon it... But i use it alot.. would be nice if the X buttons were a bit bigger on the apps.. but its perfect and great idea

Only big issue with mine so far is the music tab not working.. the weather its okay, it works good enough, and i think it might actually have been fixed as i just looked and it says updated 2 hours ago (i didn't do it) so i guess it works... the rain drop and wiper animation is awesome, i was surprised

Yeah... I never sent him the beta version... Got him mixed up with someone else.

I just redid my PC and I'm getting the kitchen back on it's feet!
I did some major house cleaning too.
Over all I think I'm going to stick with the old version of M2D, just because... It works so well (as I stated before!).

I hope to have the next version soon but can't give a time frame right now. Been busy with other things... Right now it's work instead of play

just a little FYI played with page pool past few days- dropped it to 18 and got amazing response- fast smooth and stable
zero works well also, however sometimes i have issue with as many apps as i run on a typical basis

i will change my past evaluation and up it to 6 out of 10
