What ROM? Did you make all the GPS setting through QPST? Does Google maps work? Start google maps, goto options, GPS setting, set to Manually to com 4/ bd rt 4800. It could also be your program, I'm don't know that program. |
Re: cricket Roms
I figured it out, i didnt know i had to be on 3g network to get the gps to work, where i live (Ak Chin AZ) im on extended premium coverage network and im only on 1x. and no i didnt do it qpst just thru the PHM RegEdit.
And i just switched to your WM 6.5.1 Build 21889 M2D Sky reflections ROM and i love it! |

i have a question about the themes: where do i get the themes and how to install? I did see a theme folder when looking through the files, is that where they go? Ive found this on xda - developers, is it the right type?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425974 i applied a new theme and now the manila wont start back up- just keeps saying tap here to launch touchflo and launching touchflo and just switches back and forth-any fix or ideas? |

To install a cab you will need to go to settings/home/items and deactivate touchflo then install the cab and reactivate toucflo. I also recommend doing a soft reset. I would not recommend replacing PNGs unless you know what they are going to do and they also match the homesetting XML. Also when it comes to the anolog clock I have not seen one that works with this new version of Manila very well. One other thing also before making any PNG changes backup the ones your replacing along with the HTChomesetting.xml. |
Re: cricket Roms
I was trying to change the background on the manilla home screen.
Is there a way to get these clocks here to work with manilla? manipulate them somehow? there in cab file. and their widgets. http://community.pointui.com/topic/p...k-widget-suite |

Re: cricket Roms
That would be awesome! Any chance you can do it with your WM 6.5.1 Build 21889? That rom works flawlessly for me and i would like to continue using it. Just a thought, can you also put Home2 build 2.1.04 in the rom also? If you can i can pm you my user name and password to you so you can download it, if not thats ok i can always put it on after. :wav:

Re: cricket Roms
Installed 6.5.1 and I love it! The only negative is that my battery life went out the window. I thought it was my battery that was no good anymore but I have 3 spares and all of them drained down right away, overnight to be exact. Know anything that might help?\\:D/

You can adjust setting like the backlight and such but I have never had this complaint or problem. My personal battery life lasts for 6 hrs of talk or approx 13 hrs standby. I also use my phone for a steady 8 - 10 hrs per day 5 days a week. and charge it about half way through the day, then again at bed time. |
Re: cricket Roms
Well I was pretty much on the OEM batt life: Talk: 3.5 hours max. (210 minutes)
Standby: 240 hours max. The other thing that is happening is that I have 0 to 1 bars of signal most of the time on the 6.5.1 rom. I was previously on a WM 6.1 rom that the last person had flashed it to before handing it over to me, and that had no signal issues whatsoever, it was even picking up EvDO with full signal strength. I can't seem to get better than 1X now with AT MOST 2 bars (Very rare it actually catches 2 bars) |
Re: cricket Roms

If it was just power I would automatically look at the ROM. But with signal issues as well I would stear towards the radio because the OS ROM does not touch that region of the phone. With the 1X issue thrown in the mix I would say the phone has not been properly flashed from the beginning or it could be an issue with cricket. The OS ROM does not touch the region of the phone for EVDO/1X or those vital setting. Only a carrier shipped ROM will affect those areas in the PST and radio. |
Re: cricket Roms
Hmm,any ideas or suggestions to get the phone to jump back on EvDO? I'm considering reflashing the original alltel ROM and then start from a fresh flash to Cricket, but I need a second opinion before I do anything else

Re: cricket Roms
Got everything working right now, signal strength is still a bit iffy but I candeal with it. Only other question I have is: Is there any way to change the soft buttons on the HTC Home homescreen, they're both marked for "Contacts" when regularly one is assigned to Contacts and another to Messages (orsomething else). This doesn't happen in Moto Homescreen or Windows default homescreen
