kb not working

i am using mightyrom and spb shell..kb stopped working all together it was just sometimes and rebooting would fix. now nothing ..ideas?

wrong forum. but its not a rom issue its a hardware issue time to warranty it. you can try removing the battery and pinch real hard on the back of phone and space bar(this could re-seat your ribbon.or there is a method here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=62876 where you can pull your phone apart and tape it to get better connection. i recommend warratny though if its still under warranty.

Yea that's a pretty common issue, so if you are still under warranty or if you have sprint and the tep, they'll swap it out for you (hopefully with a unit that doesn't have issues as well). I'm on touch pro #5 and it just crapped out on me--luckily the repair center felt sorry for me and offered a touch pro 2

thanks all, I have sprint and tep plan so I will just get a replacement.

Should I relock it and put it back to stock before sending it in?

Definitely a good idea. Otherwise, the repair center will blame your amateurish custom rom flashing as the reason it failed and not warranty it. I'm not saying you don't know what you're doing, but you know how the techs can be sometimes.

Took it apart like the link you gave and bam, works like a charm.. easy 5 minute fix, thanks!

My KB just died as well im 2months aways from my upgrade so im going to see if they will upgrade me to a hero or a TP 2

so just a little update on my situation i went to a sprint store today n was offered an upgrade ...not sure if i want to upgrade or just use the insurance to get a new TP until sprint drops a better phone that would be worth an upgrade ..any advise would be appreciated , cuz im not sure what to do
