Opera browser not using my data connection

I'm having an issue with Opera not using my data connection. The weird thing is that when I use wifi it works perfectly. Whats even stranger is that Internet Explorer works using both data and wifi. I'm running 23506 with Opera version 9.70.35443.2. I've verified that my data connection is working properly by downloading my Gmail messages and by using the Weather app. Anyone know what could be causing this ?

i am having same problem its frustrating. but if i use older roms from few months ago it works fine , but i want to use newer roms.

having similar problems with a stock alltel touch pro....
figured that this is the perfect time to flash a new rom
pocket tunes works perfectly, as does wmwifirouter, but pie and opera won't work

My bad for not posting this yesterday. I was able to find a build that actually works, thanks to pimpsupraz. It's Opera 9.5 build 16983, which I'll be attaching to this post. Installed over my existing Opera and now it works using both my data and wifi connection.
