Camera cleaning?

I think my camera might be in need of a little love. My pictures tend to come out fuzzy or streaked. I took of the battery door and looked at the lens, and I can see a little dust on it, and it might be a little dirty. I don't want to touch it.. so I guess some canned air would be good.. but I want to be sure. I'd also like to clean it with something (lens cleaner?) if possible.

Back in the day, my pictures would all come out with a red tint, so I wiped off the lens very gently with a dry q-tip which did work.

Also, sometimes if I touch the button to focus, when I let go, I can hear an audible 'click' when it jumps back out of focus. Is this normal?
