Re: How to tell what connection speed I am operating in?

Rev A is indeed 3G. For EVDO, you get either Rev 0 or Rev A. Rev A is ever so slightly faster on the download, but offers a nice upload speed improvement.

No matter what your download speed, it'll still feel slower than on your PC.

To know what you're getting, you should run a few tests on various speed test sites.

That's your website? Wow that's awesome, I've seen that site a lot of places - are you an overall computer genius, or just the hardware focused developer? I KNOW that might sound sarcastic, ugh, it truly isn't meant to be. I am trying to learn as much as I can and have been for a couple years, but my interests are in web development and publishing mostly, although I am still using WYSIWYG.

I'm always impressed with people that are self-taught, whether it be an instrument, or even Rock Band... or in this case HTML and programming.

I will have to use your site to see what my (now, dated) Touch Pro is pulling down as far as speed, thanks!

It's just a PHP script that I've modified a little bit

P.S. I set up web sites for a living.

WHOA... here is my mobile speed test... 18mb per second, I ran the 2mb test and then the 3mb test which said 13mb per second. What on Earth, this cant be right - lst time I checked I didnt have a T1 line hooked up to my cell phone, haha!

I am going to try to attach the image I saved from my cell phone below...

To be honest, that sounds like a glitch!

What browser are you using?

Ha! Yeah... thats what I figured, but I did the test twice on 2mb and 3mb. I am using the stock built-in normal Opera web browser on my TP.
