i called customer service, and she said it was a possibility to go into the store and get an exchange, but the chick at the store said that the customer service reps shouldn't make "outrageous" claims like this, and then they gave me a new battery... still didn't fix the overheating issue, phone randomly hard resetting, or recessed volume and power buttons that get stuck in the on position when used... nevermind the 3 other replacements i've had for various problems. i sent them an email, i'm out of contract... i'll see what happens.

I got a TP2 replacement for a TP. However, I would like to state that the TP had severe radio issues, missing calls, receiving text up to a day late, etc. These problems I have never experienced on my Diamond and have not been reproduced on the TP2. Thus, it was a valid exchange for a malfunctioning device.

BTW, it was my first exchange. I had the TP since January.

+1, nothing serious was wrong with my touch pro, but I wanted a new toy to play with.

i was givin a tp2 brand new in box with all accesories..


but it was the same as the tp1 just bigger.
same processor and everything. i sent it back and now have a BB TOUR and MUCH happier

Yeah, you know....I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I don't want to have to deal with another shoddy HTC device in 4-5 months if I choose a TP2. I'm pretty sure I'll go with the BB Tour. How do you like yours?

No we are pissed that OUR insurance is going to go up because some people unethically try (even breaking perfectly good phones!) just to get a new toy!

HAHA! Thanks! I researched that issue, and it looks like RIM fixed the trackball issues through a hardware revision for phones manufactured after August 2nd.

I only wish HTC would have done the same so quickly with TP1.

trust me i feel the same as u do about that...my phone is crapping out right now(keyboard, internet, and screen) now i gotta wait god knows how long because of stated unethical ppl...
did u remember the last time ins. went up ala mogul days? my ins. has probably covered me into the $5000 range. between the mogul and tp...no joke. if it keeps going up just blame EVERYBODY who keeps buying HTC products:twisted:
