Bah - such a crappy position I am in.

it's possible (if the right tech's there) they could fix the power button, but otherwise, better a refurb that works, than what ya got.

THIS IS FRUSTRATING. I WANT 6.5 BACK.

a slow response on the power button can be caused by resource hungry apps. I recently installed a bad version of java and it really threw me for a loop finding it.
to gain all the benifits of the new stock rom flash via activesync.
if it's not booting, flash via bootloader, then flash again via activsync once running.
after customizations run and the phone reboots, hard-reset again. then you should be able to continue with your geekyness.
