nah, he claims the only way the know if they are in stock is by clicking on "this" site and checking if that option is available. He said the only thing I could do was to keep callin... So, I guess every day I'll keep callin, unless I see something on here first!

Just got my TP2 via Asurion... Yeah, $100 for a new $500 dollar phone... The Sprint Store I deal with was just replacing parts on my current TP1... Blahhh! I see it like this... I just accepted a new 2 year contract and avoided the phone upgrade for a $70 credit towards my bill for this month... Guess I just got my TP2 for $30... I'm not mad, it's tax season... That TP1 had to go!

I'll see you TP2 peeps on the other side starting tomorrow!!!

Or did you just file a claim anyway through Asurion?

good news...i went into sprint friday because my screen was turning colors and was even worse when i actually touched the screen...they said the phone will be in two-three business days. I was anxious to call yesterday but i knew it was too soon...so i called this morning and they said my replacement came in...i was like ok cool i wont get excited...asked if it was the same phone...she puts me on hold...thats where the anticipation started kicking in....she comes back and tells me its the tp2 and i have until 5 to pick it up....soooo had i not called would i be shit outta luck loL!?! thanks for calling me sprint!!!!

but anyway i'll be over in the tp2 forums...good luck to those trying to get the tp2 for a good reason!

My NIB TP2 arrived around 2pm.
I went through Asurion, paid the 100.00. Gonna send back this TP and sell the extra stuff( 2 holsters, 2 batteries, 2 chargers, 4 styli). Goodluck to all tryna upgrade on the cheap.

UPDATE:

So even though I originally called Sprint yesterday, I called again today because I'm an impatient SOB. :mrgreen:

The man I spoke to today seemed really nice. I told him I had called yesterday about replacing my phone because of intermittent hardware problems (keyboard and front buttons) and the lady told me I could replace it with a Touch Pro2 but the warehouse was out of stock. He, no questions asked, said "Okay, let's see what we can do about getting you a Touch Pro2." So there I am, excited as all hell, and he comes back and says it's still out of stock. ](*,)

Of course, he gives me the options of Curve, Snap, Pre, Treo Pro, etc. but I insisted on the Touch Pro2 because it was close to my form factor without the crap quality. He said he understood and sympathized and said that there is no waiting list, and the backorder is full. Although, he said that when they normally run out a shipment comes within 3-4 days so I should try between then and a week. He also said that if it's a bad sell-out that I could have to wait up to a few months but he said that I should just keep calling back and "get lucky because the Touch Pro2s are hard to come by"

Haha so I'm going to keep persisting! I used to care about just asking right out for the Touch Pro2, but I don't even care anymore. I just want it so bad! :mrgreen:
