Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Tried echat to track my order. They could not find it.
Called Tech Support and got my tracking number for a my Touch Pro 2 that they are sending. Looks like a refribed unit. No issues with that as long as it works. Funny thing while on hold with Tech Support to get my tracking number, I got an email from Sprint with the information. |
Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
No love for me. After spending 2 hours in the store waiting on them to "fix" my phone (no internet, problem with the hardware, they say, worked just fine until yesterday), they came back and said that they had ordered me a refurb Pro1 that would be here middle of next week. :disgust: Called customer service to let them know that I need to have a phone for work and the only thing they would offer is for me to hope that someone doesn't pick theirs up from a service center that's on the other side of DFW and then I could go there and get, you guessed it, another Pro1. ](*,)

It MAY help to go into a sales-only store (non-repair center) and play dumb. It's been said that if it can't be repaired in-store, they'll get you a new something else. If the store hasn't got the capability of even trying to repair the phone, they may be more apt to order you a new replacement of your choice from their list.

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
TP2 is still a replacement option via phone advanced replacement. I called in Monday about the wife's hardware keyboard messing up. The tech ordered another TP which is fine, she likes hers. Thursday it's not here and I call back in and the tech says the order was messed up and never processed.
He asked if I was told I could get a different refurb model phone since the TP has so many problems. I told him no and as he was getting ready to tell me the models available he said, "oh, it's back". My ears perked up and he went through the list and said the TP2 is back on the list after being off for a few weeks. I told him sure, I'll take a TP2 and before he got the call I had my email confirmation. I mention mine sometimes locks up charging and he said it might be software. I downloaded the HTC Sprint update ROM and installed that. My phone was locked up this morning so I called *2 (same number I called the other calls) and explained it was still locking up. I get transferred back to advanced tech, explain the locking and the tech says no problem and gives me the confirmation # for a replacement TP. I asked if other models are still offered and after a couple minutes on hold she comes back and says they are. She goes down the list and the TP2 is still listed so I have another refurb TP2 on its way. Got the confirmation email within minutes showing the TP2. |
Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Just called back in and got sent directly to advanced tech 2. Got a dude who was super cool, and offered me a TP2 straight away. Its on the way and he also gave me 25% of all sprint accessories at my local store for having trouble and being cool with him.

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Called tech support, they sent me a ticket and told me to take it to a local store. Had a bad experience with one of them and going to go to the other one on Monday. The guy from tech support told me to print off the ticket and specifically told me to ask about the WELL list when I go there. From everything I have read here people say that is a bad idea. Think I will go there and just play dumb. What you guys think?
