Just made a broken screen claim through Asurion. They first offered a Pre, but I told them (truthfully) that I can't type on the tiny Pre keyboard, and I need to stay with Windows Mobile. I said that if the Touch Pro isn't available, is there any way to get a TP2 since that is really the only comparable phone. She put me on hold for about 30 seconds and I should be getting my TP2 within 5 business days...

Just filed my claim but i was being tried on the Palm Pre, also said i couldn't type on that thing, and it was a flimsy phone, no luck :(

Getting a touch pro 2!

I called asurion to start my claim for my touch pro, they offered me the palm pre. I told them I would rather wait for another touch pro as I wanted to stick with windows mobile and he told me he didn't know if they were even going to be replacing those phones and to hold on while he checked. He came back and offered me the treo pro. I told him that I would rather wait for another touch pro because my previous treo 650 gave me issues and I really wanted the touch pro. He put me on hold again to check and then came back to tell me that they definitely weren't sending out touch pros anymore and his supervisor approved the touch pro 2! He said it was on backorder and I should get it in about 5 business days, but it's on it's way!

executive services called me today. they are going to call the store & make them give me the TP2. Stepped on that store managers toes. lol

thats what they get for being rude.

I went through 4 Touch Pro's over the course of 8 months and after seeing all the talk of sprint replacing it Touch Pro2's, I decided to go try my luck at another store. Glad I did, At first the Asst. Manager tried to get me into a Palm Treo or BlackBerry Curve, I said I don't do either one, then after he had me talk to the sales Asst. I ended up leaving with ANOTHER request to get a replacement TP. When the day came to pick it up, the asst. manager came to tell me they forgot to order it and for all my troubles of coming back and forth (store was 20 mins. from where I live), he was going to give me a TP2, if I'd like... (of course!).

Well after a wait of 10 days (due to the holidays), I went in and got a brand new (not refurbished) Touch Pro2 (free of charge), and another appology from the asst manager for it taking so long in getting it to me. All in all, I am very happy I went to another store and waited a bit. No dealing with the insurance or over the phone people, just a nice, kick ass phone.

I did in all of the conversations act a bit like I didn't know just what the new phone was all about and i was very polite about it all, just giving a few facial gestures of disappointment at all the hassles, but it worked out.

Now if only it wasn't drop within hours of getting it, it wouldn't have the nicks/scratches on it... Note to self: do NOT let wifey use it...lol.

Just got a TP2 from Asurion, I was having problems with my 4th Touch Pro and Sprint wouldn't fix it, my screen would randomly dim out and my keyboard would randomly put in extra spaces or less spaces so since it was random, Sprint found no problem for it so I thought I'd just get a TP2 through Asurion lol :P Hope its good :) Just ordered 5 mins ago!

Not sure if this is the place to put it though so sorry if it is!

Did you call or file your claim online and what did you say was wrong with your phone? they offered a TP2 right off the bat.. nice! So i'm guessing you have to send in your old TP when you get the new one huh.

WOW!!! This is a first! XD i called Sprint and told them my issue, and they tried to offer me an LG Rumor!! [-X haha! so i politely laughed and asked to speak to a supervisor...

but i guess jokes on me cause i never did get the TP2... i'm gonna head to the store tomorrow and try that way :sad:
