6.5.1 rom, alarm turns off when phone times out

i use my tp for an alarm clock. i'm using the murda 6.5.1 rom, and i just noticed this recently, probably because school just started again.. that when i set the alarm, i have it set to play an mp3 that i dropped in the windows folder, but the song will only play until the phone times out and the screen shuts off.. is there any way to force it to keep playing the song regardless of whether or not the screen is on?

Yeah, use something else for your alarm. gAlarm (1.5x is the last freeware version) is the best. Nothing like shaking your phone to shut off the alarm
