My TP screen is not working correctly

Im pretty new to the PPC world but here is my problem. I have a US Cellular TP1. The screen got the oil slick thing going on underneath it and then a week later (yesterday) the screen stopped recognizing my touch or the stylus. So the screen comes up but I cant do anything with it.

I got it new 2 months ago from a different US Cellular, so no warranty on it.

Is this the result of me messing up a setting or will I have to send it in somewere?
