Internet Connection while using USB charger?

I am using 977 radio and whenever i use my mini usb adapter so that i can listen to the radio with my headphones while it charges. For some reason the app will not connect to the station while connected so that it can charge. And apparently it wont connect to the internet either while pluged in to the computer to charge. Is there some sort of registry edit to allow this to happen? I'd really like to listen to my radio app while at the same time charging my phone.

I use mine all the time the way you are? I use my wifi or data connection, plug it into the wall and use the headphone jack out to a home theater.

not positive about vista/windows 7 (i haven't used activesync in forever and a day) but on xp, when you first set up the device, there's a checkbox for "allow device to access internet while connected" or something like that

I dont think that app allows other connections. When you have your phone plugged in to your PC through activesync, It is actually sharing your pcs internet connection. If you were to have it charging with a wall charger I dont think you will have a problem.
You can open activesync box on your pc, go to file/connection settings/ and uncheck allow wireless connections on the device when connected to desktop.
