My suggestion as far as flashing is to start with a rom that maintains touch flo 3d so that youll still be familiar with the operation of the phone, and then work towards 6.5 with titanium. I jumped straight to 6.5 and it was so different from what i was used to that i hated it. Now that ive flashed around alot of 6.1 roms with touch flo 3d, and then gone back to 6.5, I love it, but it took time.

mad posted a link above that has alot of good information for beginners. my suggestion for rom choice when you start flashing is mightyrom 4. its still 6.1 based so its a familiar feel, but has many improvements. if you decide to go with 6.5, my two favorites are mightyrom 6 and the latest silence rom.

Also look for Pimbackup, it will back up contacts, texts and call history. A must if you go flash happy like the rest of us!
