Verizon touch pro - GPS busted

Verizon touch pro.

I've cmonex HSPL unlocked.
Tried many roms. Currently have Mightyrom6.

I've never been able to get my GPS to work.
Installed google maps. Turn on GPS (Menu=>Use GPS) but it never finds satellites.

Oh also went to http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=49933.
Installed PPST2.01.CAB.

Still cant find a satellite in Google Maps.

You installed the cab but did you actually run ppst?

It's in the windows folder...

Yes I ran the ppst in the windows folder and it restarted my phone when it was done.

Still no GPS working.


I'm going to do a hard reset of this mightyrom6 install and retry this again.

Changes I've made to my 6mo old Verizon touch pro to try and get GPS to work:

1. cmonex HSPL security unlocked
2. flashed Mightyrom6
3. installed PPST2.01.CAB (annoyingly changes my theme to this aqua blue color)
4. ran PPST.exe in \Windows (it restarted my phone)
5. dialed *228 option 1 (it hung up on me and restarted my phone)
6. verified GPS settings in system External GPS to be program port COM4 and hardware port (None) baud rate 4800

GPS won't work in:
1. Google Maps and select Use GPS in the menu (finds no satellites)
2. QuickGPS download (connection fails)
3. HTC_GPS_Tool_1[1].2.2.11vga.cab chip: Q 7500, mode: Cold Start, baud: 4800 (finds no satellites)

Please help, GPS will come in handy on my upcoming vacation.

Start > Settings > Personal > Phone > Services. Set 'Location Setting' to on.

Im on the same boat with Bluruld, i have done all the settings up above, and i am also on a VZW TP, it used to worked out of box with Mighty6, i switched to energyrom, and now my GPS is not locking. One this is that my QuickGPS is downloading. There is one utility that comes with engergyrom thats called Chartcross GPS test, and all it says is that GPS Starting up, and never changes status. i have already, hard reset, reflashed stock, hard reset, reflash engergy rom, hard reset. so im a little lost. i will probably try mightyrom 6 again and see if it works
