Two Major Annoyances

Despite the title - i'm not whining about my TP - rather trying to get some questions answered. I have no idea if these issues are tied to my ROM, WinMo itself, or the TP. I did some searching to no avail.

Activesync will not work on my phone after a tether sync to PC. I have to kill the repllog.exe process with the task manager and then re-open Activesync for it to connect over the wireless. If I just unplug my phone and take off, I won't receive e-mails until I realize the issue and take care of it.
WiFi randomly turns on despite me turning it off.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated!

I do not have either of those problems. Didn't have them with the stock ROM, nor numerous other custom ROMs I've used. Try flashing back to stock if not on it now, and hard reset the phone by taking out the battery, putting it back in, and then holding down arrow and the middle of the circle on the pad, and while holding, press and hold the power button...

I've done stock ROM + hard reset and the issue persists. However, I've never tested the issue on a different ROM. Maybe i'll test to see if the issue exists on other ROMs and get back to you guys.

Have you tried reinstalling ActiveSync? Are you running 4.5?

Re-Installing on PC or TP? I am running 4.5 on the PC. Since i'm using a cooked ROM I don't think I can uninstall Activestink.

Not on TP, on the PC...you can't uninstall/reinstall AS on the TP.

okay. Yeah I can try but I think it happens on both of my machines...

Tomorrow I will be flashing Stock. Hard Reset. Flash different cooked ROM besides Energy & test.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Did the above steps and the issue persisted with the SSK rom. However, that is the same WinMo version as the Energy rom i'm running. Fresh install of ActiveStink didn't work either. I guess i'll wait for rom update with the newest version of WinMo... or just write a script to kill repllog & initiate activeSync when unplugged from USB.

Did you try to sync with the stock ROM?
