VzW Touch Pro - MR1 - SMS Problem

I've tried searching everywhere about this issue and have finally decided to post a question since my wife is out of town and the issue is becoming a problem.

Ever since I applied the MR1 update, I don't get notifications in Touch Flo that I have new SMS messages -- I have to click on the icon to see if new messages came in. My TP is pretty much stock with only TomTom added on to it. Didn't have this problem before the update, worked perfectly fine. Any ideas?

I have not had this issue with stock MR1 setup in TF3D. I would try a hard reset, and if that doesn't do it, reflash, then hard reset again. It's a crappy answer, I know.

Not what you want to hear but drop that stock rom. My of the developers here have drastically improved the performance of the touch pro with custom roms. Little bugs like this are pretty non existant on a custom rom.

Try doing a *228 1

Doubt it will do anything but it could be that your arcsoft isn't configured correctly...
re-programming the phone should clear that up.

also try re-running the MR update...
in File Explorer go to windows folder and run ppst

Could be some DLL the update tried to write got corrupted...

I ended up doing the hard reset which was a minor hassle, but did resolve the issue. I'm wondering if adding my e-mail to be synced with Activesync (even though I don't use Outlook) caused the issue.
