Re: Alltel to verizon Data not working

MMS will not work until data works, must fix data first. Both MIP Default and Security tabs in EPST must be set to ##########@vzw3g.com , then clear the password/ha/aaa key fields and have a tech support rep perform a DMU reset. Then it is simply a matter of getting the network to write the keys to the device...some users have to force 1x, i have had it work by making a few calls and trying to connect a few times.

Re: Alltel to verizon Data not working

I'm getting an error code 11, ppp connection error. My ha and aaa keys are blank. What password do I leave blank? I called verizon, he reset DMU and said everything looked good.

Cool; was your account with Alltel or VZW before VZW bought Alltel?

best,

Re: Alltel to verizon Data not working

Just ran into the same problem with my Alltel TP on Vzw network. The EPST MIP settings [on your phone dial ##778# (may be ##778 on some phones) choose edit and then your unlock code (000000 for alltel and vzw), then scroll down to MIP default settings] should look like these:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...+shared+secret

Also in EPST go to the security tab and change your settings to MDN@vzw3g.com where MDN is your 10 digit number

You will need QPST to do some of these steps - Google it the latest version is 2.7 build 323 - the touch pro is model SURF7500A
Then follow the steps here:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=120

It was difficult, I had to do 3 or 4 DMU resets and I had to force mine into 1X mode by going deep into the basement, but it works fabulously now.
I would also recommend finding the thread that discusses how to copy your HA and AAA Secret codes so you can make backups as mine were erased with one of the ROM flashes.
Good luck it can be done.

Re: Alltel to verizon Data not working

I am recommending that we file a compliant with FCC against Verizon for not honoring their customer agreement to allow other CDMA phones on their network. Link below. I already filed one and it two about two minutes.. Let's make them pay.
