does anyone know of any good roms, programs and whatnot that you think that i should know or have when it comes to this phone since i just came from the xv6700.

I use jakdillard's ROM's. Getting suggestions for ROM's is kind of tough since each ROM is custom made. The best thing to do would be to just start flashing and see what works for you. Start here.

Read AALLLLLLLL of the stickies, that will kill 90% of yoiur questions and help you keep from Bricking your phone!!!
