I'm almost 100% that unlocking and flashing a phone voids the warranty and terms of agreement with TEP. Although, I could be wrong seeing as "technically" you can smash your phone and have it replaced through TEP. That is, if you wanna fork over the $100.

1. Turn off immediately and remove battery.
2. Disassemble as much as you can
3. Place all contents into a sealable container with about 2-3 cups of uncooked rice.
4. Seal containiner and pray for 2 days.
5. Open up container, replace battery, reassemble device, turn it on and find out if there is a god.

Lol. Actually, if you read through the forums, there are plenty of people that receive a "refurbished phone", only to discover it's actually new.

yeah, a lot of people get new ones still. it just depends. on the plus side, even a refurb will be better than a phone that was dunked in water lol

If someone is expecting a refurbished phone, how do they realize that it is new?

Not sure on this, but I think they check the manufacturer date. I think the latest is 5/22. That's what mine says at least. There m ay be other methods.

you know its not a refurb cause its in retail packaging.

the difference is they're different phones. tp2 is bigger, better, sexier, sleeker.. its like the 1990 grand cherokee compared to the 2006 grand cherokee srt8. they'll both get you to work, but only one of them's going to get you laid.
