Need Help accessing Bootloader. Will Donate
 

PPCGeek Gurus,
I have long been a supporter of the XDA site and have flashed countless devices with untold numbers of ROMS for the last 3 years. I just recently started using these boards as an excellent resource. I have finally hit a wall that I can't find an answer to on these forums regardless of how hard I search.
During an ActiveSync upgrade to a WinMo 6.5 Cooked rom on my Sprint Touch Pro, the power at my house went out due to lightining, and the Rom didn't install correctly. Now the phone will not boot or even enter the bootloader (which is my usual fail-safe for failed ROMS). Does this mean that my phone is now bricked or is there soemthing I can do to get this thing going again? I have tried the VOL Down+Reset and still can't enter the bootloader.
I had successfully installed the Hard SSPL .37 and was able to boot and connect to activesync again after that. I was also able to initiate the Cooked Rom install after that, but ever since the upgrade failed I can't get past the initial load screen.

PLEASE?! Any thoughts?!

Try this

1. Take out the battery
2. Wait a few seconds
3. Put in battery
4. Hold 'Volume Down' Button
5. Hold down power button

Maybe it was just a bit of a typo, but just to make sure... Are you holding PWR+VOL_DOWN+RESET or just VOL_DOWN+RESET?

Vol Down + Reset button does not work for me..

Vol Down + Power button from powered-off does work

Oh! Call me a blonde! I misread the method the method for accessing the Bootloader!! Thank your for pointing this out! I was able to get in after holding down the Vol Down AND the Pwr Button! ( I feel rather sheepish!) Thank you both so much!!!!! Have a great weekend!

Great that you have that resolved, I find that it is easier to do this after the phone is powered off, press and hold the volume down button first, then while it's down press and hold the power button down until the splash screen comes up indicating that you're doing a reset on it (something along that line)

you can also connect your phone to your pc and run the enterbootloader.exe in the ruu folder
