Re: Increase RAM in Verizon TouchPro
Search the site. It's been asked countless times and as cool as it would be it's not possible at this time. Verizon's lame for buying a gimped phone. Flash a custom ROM and see how that works for you. =)

Re: Increase RAM in Verizon TouchPro
SSK is the most effective RAM for the VZ version of this phone. You can use other ROMs but in order to keep your RAM from getting extremely low you would have to disable the very cool slide to answer or tachi dialer skins which will free up around 10 megs.
Good luck and enjoy your new phone! you can find the ROMs here ---> SSKUSERS.net

Re: Increase RAM in Verizon TouchPro
back in the old days, dell axim x50/51's even more gimped 64mb ram could be upgraded to 128mb by some studios in asia. i wonder if anybody offers that service, but then again the rest of the world uses the non-gimped touch pro, so there may not be enough demand for this service...

Re: Increase RAM in Verizon TouchPro
I'm on SSK - always have a ton of RAM free - only run spb mobile shell for interface. Always running loads of software. I install everything in storage memory (onboard) and still have 240MB free. I run TomTom, Pocket Informant, MobileShell, IE and Opera Mini, Google Maps, Live Search, PocketPlayer. I have CleanRAM running. I close apps I'm not using
