just making sure all bases are covered. if you flashed to the new alltel 1.12 radio, agps feature will not work. you will need to delete the agps registry key your registry for the gps to work again.

What were the symptoms of your problem? The gps on my phone never finds satellites. I'm wondering if this might help me.

that would still be a software issue. if it were hardware he would need to send his phone in to get fixed or get sent a new phone.

Re: GPS stopped working

I had this problem with some programs but not with others. Tried a new ROM and it seems to have gone away.

Re: GPS stopped working

Alright, I called Verizon, and the expected happened. They asked me if I was getting a data connection, and if I can connect to the internet. Yes. They asked if 911 or Location was on. Location. They asked me to take the battery out and reinstall. Did it, nothing. Finally, after 32 minutes, she said to reinstall Google Maps, and if that don't work, keep searching forums for a solution. Not to sound sexist, but the only time I ever hate talking to a female is when I have a tech question. It's no insult, ladies. We're just geekier.

So what do I do? I'm gonna reinstall the ROM update and get back to you guys.

Re: GPS stopped working

well, google or bing really aren't a good test. yes, it needs to work, but your best test is gps alone, no data required.. something like gpstool or visualgpsce are good strictly gps tools.

Re: GPS stopped working

Reinstalled the update ROM, and as expected, GPS works fine again. It's a shame everyone has to reinstall the ROM after every hard reset, but all is fine now so whatever.
