Touch Flo takes 3-4 hours to load.
 
heres the story as well as i know it. i used to be running an SSS rom. and i was texting a lot with it. my phone had started to lag, and i figured it was from all the messages. so i selected delete all messages. and im pretty sure my phone was froze, so i just took the battery out. when i turned it back on it took touch flo FOREVER to load. so i just turned my phone to Titanium instead, because that loads just fine. i have installed like 3 or 4 other roms since then, and they all take a couple hours for touch flo to load. my screen just has a big HTC logo on the screen, and i have noticed once just before it loaded that it will say "loading" underneath of HTC... but that takes like 3-4 hours once again to get to that point.

Any ideas on how to fix/what is wrong here???

Don't use TF3D :-D Seriously, why would you use it after Titanium :lol:

Anyway, have you tried hard resetting the phone? I would think new ROM would clear any problems up unless you haven't been hard resetting.

I absolutely hate titanium, I can't see why anybody would use that plain jane ugly setup.

I have both titanium & TF3D Rhodium (merdin 6.5) & I would never use titanium.......

OP, youve sat there for 3-4hrs to watch it load??? my guess its like when u open the windows sys folder, get tired of waiting,then just close it... next time you open TC or File explorer it takesforever to load.....you probably have to wait for it to load, go actually erase those message that you aborted by taking off the battery..soft rest, and see what happens then..

you hate it, but you have that and rhodium...Just wanted to LOL real fast, your cool Jmorton so i know you wonr be mad.. kinda set urself up though by saying you hate it, yet you have it running..

I have had the same issue, but didnt post it bc people would me crazy, I noticed it happens every time there is no service, it slows down and freezes up, then when I soft reset TF3d wont come on for at least couple hrs. I tried a hard reset but still the same issue. I think it has to do with the network.](*,)](*,)](*,)

LOL, I have it because it came in the ROM. If I could delete it, it would be history......

I also have MS 3.0, PointUI Pro & HTC Home.

I kinda like running HTC Home & weather panel as my home screen....

umm, i still run the today screen lol.. didnt like tf2d on my mogul, dont like tf3d on my pro, and titanium looks like to much scroll to get where i wanna go..

Gotta agree with jmorton! Titanium = Zune MP3 player, and who needs one of those when you own a Touch Pro with an 8GB SD card? :)

I dont hate either of them.. i prefer touch flo with the touch pro 2 rom ported. i think that that is the most useful rom for me. but i like to switch stuff up a lot. i can see why u think that titanium sucks, and i can see why other people swear by it! i like to switch back and fourth although.. im still waiting for a completely different layout although, that would be VERY cool. i mean even if it doesnt start out too great it will surely have improvements made to where it will work better.

thanks for ur help, i did a hard reset.. cant believe i didnt think of that before.. it seemed to help a little, but my phone has just been lagging more than ever lately... im gonna try a different rom again.. one other thing i have noticed although, is that my battery is lasting 8 hours now.. maximum.. thats not cool. :( .. hopefully its the rom tho.

actually, I use to love titanium,
but I'm bored with it now. haha.
I still have to write up some of my reg edits into walkthroughs for titanium so others can use it.
I still haven't seen anyone figure them out yet....

haha, I don't reallly agree with him.
It's not really that plain, well it is stock,
but you can do sooooooooooooooo much to it.
I mean, why do people use myspace?
the initial profile is fugly, but you customize it into something completely different that looks good.

But I'm personally worn out of titanium. haha.
And I haven't seen any real development on any good new panels lately.
So I think I'll stick with tf3d2 for the time being.
I never did really get into touch flo either.
I just don't feel like building a wisbar interface right now. haha

what carrier? you may try flashing a shipped rom, as I've seen that's needed sometimes after flashing 6.5. regardless it can't hurt.

Check out this MS3 Titanium. I love it and adds a much better Titanium like interface with many more features than regular Titanium.

Just all the sudden I had problems starting at the end of last week.

Started with my Touch Pro corrupting my sd card on certain folders which I'm not entirely sure if that's related. I couldn't open these certain folders in windows explorer. It was a long tedious process of using xcopy in cmd. Every now and then it would get to a sector it didn't like and eject the sd card. Fun...

Now if I open Opera, it'll only take a few web pages before it stops loading the page, then it stops responding all together. After a good minute all the input will take place instantly. I'm quite patient with my devices but this is frustrating. TF3d is quite unstable now too. When it does start, I normally just have to play with it before it stops again.

I flashed to several different roms, making sure I didn't have any customization or even an SD card in the slot. Stock, Mike, Juicy, NRG and I think Juggs. All with the same problems with a fresh hardreset.

I called Sprint and told them I was having severe performance problems (knowing how immature that probably sounded) and they're sending me one sometime today. I threw in saying my keyboard has been coming in and out so they couldn't argue with me.

my opera shuts down after a while too.. did you call a local sprint number? im hoping that that would be the worst case scenario for me with this phone. so wait.. was your keyboard like falling out do you mean??

No. Another extremely common problem with the phone is the ribbon connecting the keyboard internally is unplugged and the keyboard doesn't work at all. By in and out, I was making it seem the ribbon is loose. That was the reason I sent my last TP in. ( These refurbs they keep sending me back suck.)

alright.. thanks! my phone isnt refurbished. when you sent your phone in, did you put a stock rom, and re-lock it also?

Yea.

Stock Rom

Stock Radio (if you ever changed your radio, 1.03.15)

Hard SPL Relocker (Raphael_CDMA_Relocker.zip)

I think those are right. ^

With my first replacement, I had to pay $100. Ever since then they've been "Advance Exchanges". Get angry before you call them. You might have better luck than I did.

hard reset man thats all ya need then if it still F***s up after you set up your phone again then you did something wrong or a app is conflicting with tf3d. go back and uninstall some cabs till its fixed. and you found your problem

To increase the pagepool you need a pagepool changer. You essentially modify the rom image (the nbh file) and reflash.

Most roms already have page pool set to the best number. I just wanted to chime in that I got my replacement phone and immediately slapped the energy rom on it; its FLYING. The other one obviously had a hardware defect so don't rule that out as to what's causing your phone to crap out.

I also heard (read) of it possibly being a bad prl update. I tried to update it on the bad phone but of course it said it's already at the latest so it wouldn't try to update it. I didn't look into it too much since the new phone was already on the way.

Side note: I thought they were supposed to give me a refurb but I think I ended up with a new one somehow. Sweet.

everytime i see this thread i wonder. how the heck did you time that to load? how do you have a patientence to let your phone sit there for 3-4 hours to finally see how long it loaded? dont you use your phone? the longest my tf3d ever too to load is maybe 2 mins and thats at the most.

haha its not like i just sit there and stare at it!! i just chill on my computer all day, and check my phone every half an hour or so lol.

haha are you sure? i could see you staring at it, missing dinner and favorite sport shows. paitently waiting for tf3d to load. yelling and it COME ON LOAD ALREADY.... lol

anyways when tf3d is loading can you get calls and text messages?
