Help needed rom issues!!

I installed hotfix for music skipping on touch pro for sprint and device did a soft reset and was stuck on the touch pro screen with the red characters on the bottom, no way out, I have since gotten to the rainbow screen and gotten my pc to recognize the device, now I am having issues putting a new rom on there. I am currently downloading the demolition 6.5 rom, taking for freaking ever, but after I get it going I will probably be in the same place, ruu isn't working and can't get past 0% someone skilled in the arts of rom updates please help!!!
