Re: CDMA Doesn't Charge Sometimes
I agree. this also happened to me on my 6700, mogul, and my touch. HTC just doesn't seem to have gotten that charging circuit down yet lol..

Re: CDMA Doesn't Charge Sometimes
Thanks for the heads up guys. We swapped the phone last night for, I'm assuming, a refurb.
This morning, the battery indicator was showing the exclamation point symbol and said that battery info was not available, but after restarting the battery showed as full. Hopefully it stays that way. Thanks again for the info. |

Re: CDMA Doesn't Charge Sometimes
i can think of two possible causes.. either the battery is not getting correct voltage while charging, or the phone needs its battery memory dumped..
1) are you using the charger that came with the phone ? 2) whens the last time you let the lithium ion battery completely die ? unlike nickel batteries youre not really supposed to let l-ion die, but depending on the type of gadget youre using you might have to let the l-ion completely drain like once a month to clear battery memory. edit: also theres a third one possibly - is the phone doing anything at night that would cause it to overheat ? like.. is the wifi kept on for the entire night or anything ? hot l-ion batteries will disconnect themselves and prevent charging. Re: CDMA Doesn't Charge Sometimes
Mine does the same thing but I noticed if you wait five to ten seconds after you turn it on, the battery guage/indicator will finally catch up and show the correct indication, full charge.

Re: CDMA Doesn't Charge Sometimes
I've seen the same thing. Generally, if I click the batter icon and it says, "unknown," I just wait a few seconds and it eventually comes back.
