Instead of installing the cab, you can simply edit the registry. Personal preference. I typically like to avoid installing cabs if possible.
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\SMS\TextShared Change the 130 to 160.

I restored almost 15,000 texts last night after loading MR6. Weird thing was I could see the last 25 in tf3d but the inbox for text messages was empty. Seems WinMo 6.5 didn't really like having that many either since I had a bunch of issues when I would go to text. I have no good reason for having that many texts, other than I don't delete most of them and they don't really take up much space and never caused a problem in the past. So in my opinion 4000 is kind of a small number
