Wont Soft Reset

was up well i just notice that recently my phone had stop soft reseting like if i use the soft reset button on the bottom of the device it does nothing and before when i would do it it would work now im wonderin if my fone is messed up or this is something normal? is this happening to anybodi else also if this helps im on stock rom and the fone is about 2 to 3 months old cant really remeber but yea can somebodi help mi out........thanks fo those that reply in advance
