help is needed BIG TIME!

well today my touch screen stoped working nothing happens when i touch the screen.

tried to get it looked at but they wouldnt because the volume button had popped off (seems to happen alot me my bro and dad all had it pop off from opening the keyboard )

my question is how do i send a text with out hitting the screen?

ill have to pay the 100 to get a new one but id still like too text tell the new one gets here
