Verizon Touch Pro onto the Alltel network

I want to apologize ahead of time If this question has already been asked or answered. I've been searching for over a week now and haven't found a satisfactory answer to this question.
I Have a Verizon Touch Pro that was purchased online. I'm currently a Alltel customer. I've gotten just about everything except the Data working...At this point, I would like to know if its just possible to flash a shipped Alltel rom and Radio to the device, getting rid of the Verizon Firmware completly...I've tried to do this with the Shipped Alltel Rom found in the forum, but keep getting a wrong model ID error. I'm sure it's something I'm overlooking, but at this point I don't know what else to try. Thanks for any input.
