Agreed. Most custom ROMs will having Internet Sharing working out the gates.

Did the hard reset, and loaded my crap back in and applied patch. Works better than new. Odd. Not sure what I did. I have to consider a custom rom. Would save time instead patching the phone with cab after cab.

Definitely,
Custom roms have all the essential apps/tweaks you probably would start installing after a hard reset already cooked in. For example Internet sharing fixes, .net cf 3.5, and other neccesarry things/tweaks you need but are not on a stock rom.

sweet and is there a cab for the internet sharing app that comes with the pro?

For Sprint I found on some custom roms you need to install the fix and then go under connections and edit the name of the data connection to "Sprint" before Internet Sharing will give you the connect option.
