6.5 titanium weather issue?
 

Just did notice my 6.5 titanium weather tab just stopped working...
When I update all I get is a BIG red X a small 0 and then / / / / / where the weather icons should be. I did reinstall the cab file and get the same issues. Doawn on me it might be a problem with Accuweather?

I'm getting this same error too, and no amount of removing/reinstalling the plugin along with disabling/enabling titanium seems to fix it.

The link that Titanium Weather uses to update the weather seems to be expired...

Unzip that file and replace(or make a back up just in case) in program files on your phone. Restart phone, then double tap the weather as usual to update. Got mine to work.

I just extracted the file and dropped it into the \Program Files\TitaniumWeather folder, replacing the old one.

Edit : I did that...and it is now updating...but still shows a red X for all the weather icons....

HOLY CRAP!!!

i thought i was losing my f-ing mind guys!! I've been flashing and reflashing and flashing and reflashing for hours!!! even got back to stock a couple of times!!

I was just getting ready to give up and post my problem when i saw THIS thread!!

i'm so happy about this thread (and i didn't search so i don't know if there may be more but at this moment, if they are, i don't care.

so. not only have i thanked you for started the thread, but i also voted on it as a Great thread. i'm thinking that everyone that is using 6.5 titanium weather is going to be pulling their hair out by the end of day.

I've got the file downloaded but i went to extract it to the program/titanium and there is no file so i found it in the windows folder but it won't let me replace it.

how did titanium weather get installed? was it in a rom or did you install it manually?

Running Titanium 3.1 and tried everything to get my icons back. Still just getting the X's. Any ideas?

Use Total Comander or similar to move and overwrite the file in windows. I also disabled windows default under Start/Settings/Today prior to overwriting.

3.1 was the last version before showaco switched to the attitanium plugin installer and you had to pick your icon pack. i flash alot and restore my phone to about 99% with UC and that is including about 30 cabs and about 20 xml files plus a bunch of other random crap. anyways, the point is that it is a huge pain in the *** to try and restore the weather plugin with the icons i want plus the radar has never worked for my zip code. in order to restore it with the icons i want, btw, would require editing the cab itself anytime he released an update. so in short, i stuck with 3.1 :mrgreen:

I am also unable to fix this problem on my titan. still showing just the red x's Please help I am pulling out my hair here..

Make sure you disable "Windows Default" in home screen settings so that it's not in use when you try to replace it.

Then re-enable it when you've replaced the file.

yes I tried the fix and that did not work and I did disable the windows default.

this is what I did

I disabled the windows default
copied and mrc file to the correct directory
soft reset the device
the ran a full update
and still have the same problem

okay now I have 2 weather panels one by showaco and the other one is the original titanium weather. the showaco one is working now but the other one still has the red x and I am unable to remove it by the chrome or titanium configurations.

Im having the same problem, I installed the file as discribed and I do have the correct temps, days and city but the icons are still red x's

i tried the fix and im sure it would have worked but it wont let me replace the file..it says access denied because the program is in use.. i disable the windows default and soft reset and it still does it so i dunno what else to do. should i try the total commander and replace it that way

I was having the same problem. I downloaded the fix from Post #8 and ran that one and got the red X's. I then Tried DomSim's fix from post #18 http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...857#post972857

I Disabled default, copied the file, re-enabled default, soft rest, and did a full download. Everything was back to normal.

Yes. I would try total commander. That is what I used to overwrite the file.

I just noticed that the Front screen Highs/Lows are not showing up, but If I scroll though them, they are there.

Downloaded the zip file. Replaced the existing one, and made some progress. However, still have the last image a red X on the slide of Today, and get an error message when going to some sort of weather browser:

"Unable to download the file. The server might be experiencing difficulties or URL may be invalid."

This message appears when I double click on the weather section of the Today screen, and get a new screen with a Titanium logo, a cream background and an "X" in the top left.

So there is some progress, but I'd like to get to the url, and have all the correct images on the Today page. Anyone else get this?

hey guys im having problems also i downloaded the first fix and got all to work except titanium radar . i have a x icon , when i try it says unable to download or invalid url.

Thanks for the weather fix. All the icons are appearing correctly. :) However, there is still an issue with radar not showing up, and also the MSN Weather Widget not being linked from the today screen plugin. This is one of the reasons I haven't switched over to Titanium from TF3D.
