Unhappy Stupid Imac fried my ActiveSync pls Help!

HI everyone, I am one of those reverse guys with a Mac as a main desktop and a WindowsMobile htc touch pro for a phone. My dilemma is that I was using MissingSync for Mac and was moving some files onto the storage card. I always use my usb connection because my Imac bluetooth never plays nice with the touch pro (I thought this crap was supposed to "just work").
So I got a little curious about internet sharing working on my Imac and I turned it on. My Imac completely froze up requiring me to pull the plug on it.

NOW my touch pro will no longer sync with my Imac or even my HP laptop running Windows XP! Which is a really big bummer since I use a usb connection with the laptop to tether. It is my only option since my Laptop doesn't have bluetooth.

I have soft reset the phone, reset both cpu's, Checked and UnChecked every setting in settings>connections>USB to PC, and Cursed wildly at it. Nothing seems to work.
The weird thing about the situation is that the touch pro charges when I connect them, but neither machine will launch the #$&@ing activesync or work with internet sharing.
I never now how much missingsync ment to me until it was gone

Anyhelp would be most appreciated guys.
Also, has anyone got Mac bluetooth to work with a touch pro?
I am running mightyrom 4 btw if that helps
thanks in advance.

Re: Stupid Imac fried my ActiveSync pls Help!

Hey thanks for the idea, I just gave it a shot and no go.
On my Imac it is not even acknowledging anything is connected to it in the hardware usb tree. I really must of jacked up the usb data connection.

To all MAC users Never USE INTERNET SHARING!!

I guess I have to order a bluetooth dongle for my laptop and just not sync with the mac anymore.

yea mac "just works" my headache

I feel your pain. I have a LAN at my house with 5 PC's & one MAC.

I'm a PC guy, but my Wife is a school teacher & has to have MAC stuff for work.

They recently gave her a new MAC Powerbook. The older one hooked to my LAN just fine & had RoadRunner access etc.

When I hooked up the new LT, I couldn't get an internet connection for some reason. I had done the TCP/IP thing in the control panel (I'm not new to this stuff) & for some reason absolutely NOTHING I did would get the POS to connect. I must have deleted & redid the settings 15 times & nothing.

I finally asked her if they still had the old MAC LT at work & if so could she bring it home again?? She brought the old one home, we plugged it in & got an immediate inet connection. At that point, I put both units next to each other & opened the control panel on both & checked all the settings. They where identical on both units.

At that point, I was so pissed I was ready to throw the new one out the 2nd story window........Out of total desperation, I redid the TCP/IP settings one more time (& changed absolutely NOTHING) & when I got done the damn thing started working (& has worked fine ever since).
