Looks like they just updated the instructions. The name of the upgrader is the same as before and is dated 3/20/2009. The instructions doc is named XV6850_MR1_Upgrade_Procedure_v2.5.doc and is dated 6/10/2009. Based on the text in one of the first posts, it looks like they added this disclaimer on the last page:

crap.... So I just tried to flash this update to my verizon touch pro. failed. error code 262 after it loaded to 19 percent. after recovering and attempting to hard reset it just goes back to the boot loader. I tried multiple times, never getting over 34%. thought that maybe it was because I have flashed the unlocker by CMONEX, so I used his re-locker in teh vzw spl package. my spl is now showing 0.40.0000 si I guess that is the correct locked SPL, but the update STILL wont flash. now my device is relocked and I cannot reflash my SSK rom either... I tried to re-unlock it, but that dosnt work either. I guess Im going in to Verizon tomorrow and hope they can help.

this update IS from Verizon right? I ask as I cannot find it on their website anywhere. I cant afford to go out and buy a new touch pro right now, so I really cant afford for verizon to tell me to go fudge off.

any advise?

The .nbh file appears to be the same.

There is no reason to re-lock your phone to flash this ROM.
Just extract the .exe with WinRAR and do it like we would any other ROM.
You can even change the pagepool as with any other ROM.

ok, just tried that SD Unlocking method, but as I cannot get my device to boot, I canot put the SPL file on the root of the device. I put RAPHIMG.nbh on the root of my SD card and powered up the phone, but it just shows a gray screen that says loading... screen never goes away.

Just got back from Verizon store. they are sending out a replacement device today. will be here before noon tomorrow. Im thinking that I am going to shy away from the verizon update with this new device..... I have flashed numerous times, all sorts of ROM's and never had a issue. then I try the verizon update and I have to get a new device. Oh well.
