anyone know what key sets default soft keyboard?
I'm having a curious problem I guess. My soft keyboard, the one that can be brought up in lot of apps, comes up on the number screen. What's odd is that the ABC key won't work, I have to use full keyboard with the tiny letters and numbers. After a soft reset, I'm back to the number pad. I figure this must be in the registry someplace, would be grateful for any help. Thanks.

Perhaps try using SIPchange ? You can look up SIPchange.cab and find something. At boot, it executes and changes your SIP keyboard to whatever you prefer.
Still seems like it only fixes the symptom, but I'm just a newb throwing it out there. |

Here is the answer... there is a cab somewhere also if you don't want to do the edit yourself. Search "stuck qwerty" |

Perfect, thank you both.
Sorry my search skills failed. If anybody stumbles on this thread, the key fix referenced in the link is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\Ime CurrentET9Style = 0 |
