keyboard backlight not staying on

i have searched here and google and cant remember where i saw info on the issue of my keyboard light going off with in seconds of me actively typing. i am on mighty R3BORN latest but noticed this out of the box before flashing so is the reason i didnt post there. is there any solution to this? thanks in advance as this is a very annoying issue!
