Sounds like a hardware problem to me, but just try to flash something else or redownload and try again with merdinh's

I have the same issue i have ssk 2.0 verizon rom. but i think is hardware issue dow. my power button to lock dont work. i have to slide up and down to lock the phone i have an extra screen im gona try to swap it out

Sorry to to say, I went thru this 2 months ago, I never removed battery or did a hard reset after flashing. The phone started as stated then never came on again, just the backlight would turn on to a dark screen. It started for 2 weeks, causing issues every other day, until it just gave out, Sprint Issurance sent me a replacement.

i just swapped the screen out. very easy took me 15min to swap the screens. i had to swap cuz i have my sprint touch pro on verizon. it took care of the jerky screen i had
do what every one is saying go to sprint and get it replaced. if you donthave service and repair you do have a 1yr warrenty that sprint covers for no charge. and sprint has an open enrolment for TEP this month only ..
