Re: Touch Pro Broken ?
I've reflashed to stock ROM and problem persists. It's becoming clear that this is a recurring problem with the TP and all of a sudden the keyboards and face plate buttons are going out. Some peope seem to get a replacement phone in the Sprint store, others have to send their phone in for repair for weeks. Let's hope they don't make me send it off. I don't know if I can breathe without my mobile...

Re: Touch Pro Broken ?
Yeah, if it within the year warranty he will be able to get it replaced even if he does not have the insurance.

From reading these warranty/insurance threads it seems though that a lot of people on sprint have a hard time getting a warranty replacement for manufature defects, and sprint pushes them to use their insurance and pay the 100 bones. sucks |

Re: Touch Pro Broken ?
I just had my second Touch Pro break and I called Sprint. I'm on the SERO employee plan so I think I get better service, but they told me they have a new service option where for $1 to $2 (some administrative fee) you can get any phone you want as a replacement. I'm getting a Touch Diamond as a replacement because both TPs have lost all keyboard and hardware button function intermittently and the backlight tends to flash from dim to bright over and over, as well as the phone running extremely slow to the point I can't use it. All of these problems are intermittent but Sprint has always taken care of me, so I can't say I blame them for anything..
My advice: Try to get a different phone. If you have TEP it might be a bit easier. |
