Re: HTC TOuch Pro, sprint, Big problem..

thanks for the quick asnwers guys!
I recently got this phone from TEP/asurion, id last last thursday. Should i contact ausurion? or Sprint? Could i take it into a store to have it swapped out? Also would it be a problem if i have juicy's rom flashed on there if i did bring it in to sprint?

thanks phillyboi!
i wonder has anyone ever experienced grief for a physical defect of a phone with a custom rom?
I mean, my screen already just looks messed up with the corner sticking out,

I dunno...that juicy rom might have been too big for your phone and made it bust a seam. At least that might be the excuse heard at the store.

I definitely suggest you flash your phone back to the latest shipped firmware and relock it before taking it in. It all hinges on how "cool" the tech or customer service reps decide to be... and it has been years since my local store had a cool tech or a customer service rep who was willing to look at things logically before following policy blindly.

Re: HTC TOuch Pro, sprint, Big problem..

it's been a known issue from day one. mine is fine, but my friends phone is a little raised. he's had his phone since september and it hasn't ever caused any problems. if it's raised a lot and you can't stand it, just go return it for another.

always put the stock rom on a phone before returning... they're not very friendly to customers who customize their phones.

Re: HTC TOuch Pro, sprint, Big problem..

I too noticed this problem. I am on my second TP on my first one I didn't notice this problem but with my current one yes I noticed that the top is not completely flushed with the bottom of the phone. I can press down on it and it seems to flush. I didnt' think it was such a big problem to warrant getting yet another phone.

yea Nikki, im thinking the same thing, its nothing that hinders the use of the phone, but it is just not aesthetically pleasing

I am a Sprint Authorized service center and if you just got the phone from asurion, the correct procedure is to call them and tell them they sent you a bad phone, They will replace the phone for you. The general rule is that for the first 30 days after a replacement or repair, you have to go back to who did either the repair or replacement. I hope this has helped.
