Yeah...I think not being able to sync is phone is making him wacky....He must be very popular...with all those contacts that need to be refreshed. I do wonder why these updates are causing this issue and ow any others are affected. I have Vista on my destop for gaming purposes but I have used/updated it in a while. Gotta go to work soon so don't have time right now.

I just flashed to Mighty Rom 5 last night and I am having the error is post 1. I have searched all over trying to find a solution, but every post I find with similar problems never lists a resolution. I am off work today, but I have to have my phone working before work tomorrow or else I am going to have some serious problems. I can use wmdc as guest to install and browse phone but I can't set up sync profile to download my tasks, contacts, and notes. If anyone has some ideas please let me know. Thanks.

Thank you for the quick response. I have outlook on my pc, I have been syncing it with my TP for the last year with no problems. It just started last night after I flashed.

hmm, might wanna try hard resetting the tou-pro or flashing the 4.16 version, i know its the older version, but without posting ur ? in that thread of the newer release..theres a start i guess

It didnt look like anyone suggested checking device manager for any problems. I had problems with one of my phones on wdmc and saw I had issues in device manager (sorry, can't remember under what "department"). When I uninstalled the trouble device, rebooted and plugged in phone, it loaded the drivers again and all was well.

Also, I did have a rom where I could not connect to wdmc for nothing, and i had to flash back to stock rom. because of that, I've learned to rely less on wdmc sync and more on PIM backup.

Thanks but no to both of them. I have been using wm for the last 4 years, and I know that there is still alot to learn but I have tried almost everything I could think of.

I also went into the device manager and deleted the drivers to they would be auto added. Didn't work.

I also uninstalled wmdc, cleaned the registry, rebooted, and reinstalled. Didn't work.

For good measure I also flashed the ROM several times and I also hard reset a couple times before I started installing all my programs and stuff to avoid as problems such as this.

DAMN this sucks.... lol I really like this ROM if I could just get it to sync, but this is a deal breaker for me.

Note: I caan use Windows Mobile Device Center as guest to install programs and explore the files usign my PC. I just can't set up a profile, so I can't sync all my data.

I found a while back that WMDC didn't like to sync the "file" portion of my phone with WMDC. When I unchecked "files" in WMDC it worked fine and has been since then.
