flashing telus radio trouble
I have seen and read the threads explaining how to flash these phones correctly. I also verified after going into bootloader mode that it says "Security Unlocked" at the top.
The whole screen says: RAPH800 SPL-0.37.0000 MicroP-Hermann (LED) v0C85 MicroP-Hermann (KEY) v0685 PSOC-Raph STAGE_EVT v20 When I run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe from the Telus RRU directory on my desktop, it goes into ROM update utliity just fine. It sees my phone and comes back ready to update it correctly. Something that concerns me, however, is upon verifying my ROM information, it doesn't display any Image Version information. So it says it will update from BLANK to 1.04.05V R. Might this be the problem why I can't update my radio? I'm not sure why this is a problem! |
Re: flashing telus radio trouble
Well, turns out that SPL-0.37.0000 means my phone is still locked. So, I'm following the instructions on this page to unlock it.

Re: flashing telus radio trouble
Dang it, I don't use activesync properly and it's making me enter activesync mode to unlock it. WTF.
Son of a.... And well, after installing Activesync, properly unlocking it, then trying to flash the radio to the Telus version, it worked just fine! That's a hassle for someone who doesn't use Activesync! |

Damn, a few minutes too late.
Well, I'm taking that BS off my computer. Yuck. |
Re: flashing telus radio trouble
Well, I don't know how you missed it. There's a sticky named "how to flash your touch pro" and there's another sticky named "unlock your TP via SD card". Both of them tell you in the first post how to do it.

OH!! I didn't look at the "Upgrades" section where ALL this information was. Dammit, I'm an idiot. Thanks dude. Hope someone else finds this thread useful.
