You can use Advanced Configuration Tool v3.3.

Go to phone and disable skin.

Oh, that disables the whole skin and gives you the ugly dialer though, doesn't it? That's not really a friendly option, unfortunately.

Weird, it pops up fine for me now. Though call waiting/3-way calling does not work though.

You cannot disable just the S2A part of the stock phonecanvas, in order to have that WM6.5 S2A screen, you need to have the WM default dialer enabled and the device needs to be locked when the phone rings.
