What's the best aim app to use on touch pro?

Looking to download aim that does not consist in using to much memory so i can chat with friends during messaging. Would i be better off downloading the aim app for windows phone users on their own website or is there another program that i can get that i would be able to chat with my aol/aim friends on my touch pro from sprint ?

Palringo is nice, but I prefer BeeJive. The WM version is stuck in permanent beta but I find it works very well.

Palringo is the way to go in my opinion.

Beejive is the best, but guess what. The developer doesn't give a crap about us Windows Mobile users so half the time the application doesn't connect to the chat networks.

Until they start taking us seriously I recommend the pricey IM+. Palringo may be free, but I dont care for it's interface as much. If you're only interested in AOL - they have their own ad supported application available as well.

i don't know why people don't like the Oz messenger Sprint TPs come with. Even though it is pretty buggy, it's the only server-side aim client I know of. Every other aim client requires constant internet connection, potentially crippling your battery life. Oz messenger is the only one i can leave off and still check on messages sent during the period that the program was closed or I was out of reception.

Unless I'm mistaken and there is a better alternative out there, in which case that would be awesome.

I agree, I use Oz messenger when I want to stay on aim and not completely kill my battery. If I'm going to chat for 15 mins or use neat features (send pics/voice clips/etc) I'll hop on nimbuzz or palringo.

One more vote for the Oz instant messenger that comes free on the phone. First, it's free. Second, it's supported by Sprint so if I have problems there's someone to whine at. Third, (as noted above) it has significant battery advantages. Finally, I'm a very casual IM user so installing another app isn't worth the trouble for me.

It might help if you let us know in what way the included instant messaging app doesn't meet your needs. That increases the chances that you'll get a recommendation that's right for you.
