Disk mode or syncing in Ubuntu
Hello,
I seen the one thread about how to sync and it just isnt working for me. I have all the files installed and reinstalled but nothing is working. Has anybody at least gotten the disk drive mode to work with ubuntu? My contacts are stored with Windows Live through my hotmail... but I would like to transfer files (particularly ones name RAHPIMG.nbh) back and forth with my linux machine. |
Re: Disk mode or syncing in Ubuntu
I do not really know about ubuntu, but for slackware (and presumably every other linux distro) you just plug it in, slect disk mode on the tp, and then do mount /dev/sda1 or sdb1, sdc1, sdd1, etc depending on your configuration.
I had a directory in my home directory called usb, where i would mount my usb devices, including my TP. so I plug it in, do mount /dev/sdb1 /home/paul/usb and it was done, copy my files to /home/paul/usb and then unmounted it. worked great. never did get activesync to work though.. |
